While she recently teamed up with Estée Lauder to create her own makeup collection, her newest collaboration sees her set to work with Target.
She was inspired to work with the superstore to create a line that is more monetarily accessible to the average consumer. She intends to create a range of items that are functional yet stylish, featuring jumpsuits, dresses, tops and bottoms for women. The collection will also see her take her first foray into childrenswear.
As a mother of four, she recognizes that “children need to be able to feel comfortable and free in what they wear.” She went on to note that “it was really all about finding a balance between the fun elements and the real-life functionality of a garment.”
In an interview with Target, she admitted she’s “been thinking how great it would be to work on clothes for a customer that either doesn’t want to pay or can’t pay designer prices.” It is this willingness to explore new avenues and to cater to a diverse audience that has allowed her to create a perpetually expanding empire.
We love that she’s putting her talents towards creating clothes with a great price point, distancing herself from the elitist attitude that can often be associated with the world of couture. With over 200 items ranging from $6-$70 set to be released, we can’t wait to see her new line! The collection will be available from the 9th of April 2017 at stores and on Target’s website.
