At New York Fashion Week, designers were not afraid to show political statements, and the IT girls were definitely not afraid to wear them. From Prabal Gurung’s “The Future Is Female” or even “I Am An Immigrant” to Dior’s “We Should All Be Feminist”, inspired by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s essay of the same name in 2014, slogan tees are voicing all our thoughts. Not only have they taken over our Instagram feed, but they are also a way for designers to make a stand. Most of the profits made by these t-shirts will go to charities, such as CLF, ACLU, or even Planned Parenthood. The trend went from high-end to high street, with some similar tees now available in shops like Topshop.
